The program of undergraduate studies in ethnology and anthropology
The study program in ethnology and anthropology is structured in 4 years (8 semesters), through which students receive 240 credits (ECTS). The professional title gained upon completing the undergraduate studies and the defense of the undergraduate thesis is graduated ethnologist and anthropologist.
The undergraduate study and program is organized for the obtainment of level VII/1 education and meeting the requirements of the qualification descriptors. The study program allows for continuing education on a higher level (graduate studies) in a variety of fields (modules) of ethnology and anthropology.

Financing
Students can enroll are regular students financed by the state, regular students with private co-financing and part-time (irregular) students at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology.
Enrollment criteria
The conditions and criteria for enrollment at the “St. Cyril and Methodius” University are prescribed by the Rectorate of the University in alignment with legal proscriptions and recommendations from the Ministry of Education and Sciences of the Republic of Macedonia.
Candidates who have passed the state examination of international baccalaureate have the right to enroll in the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology. Candidates who have completed school examinations in general gymnasiums or final examinations of 4-year specialized high schools also have the right to enroll. Students with completed 4-year high school examination in earlier years (before the academic 2007/2008) and who have not completed the state examination have the right to enroll.

Subject code |
The study program in Cultural Heritage Management and Protection, which begins in the 2021/22 academic year, consists of 4 years (8 semesters), with students receiving 240 credits (EKTS).
The professional title after completing the undergraduate studies and defending the diploma thesis is a graduate anthropologist in the field of management of cultural heritage protection.
The study program provides the opportunity for further continuous education at a higher level, i.e. second cycle studies in various areas (modules) of ethnology and anthropology.
Method of financing
Candidates are enrolled as full-time students funded by the state, full-time students with co-financing and part-time students at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology.
Enrollment requirements
The terms and criteria for enrolling students in studies at the University "Sts. Cyril and Methodius" are prescribed by the Rectorate of the University in accordance with the legal regulations and recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science.
Candidates who have passed the state or international matriculation examination have the right to enroll in the first cycle of studies at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology. Candidates who have completed four-year secondary education in previous academic years (before the 2007/2008 academic year) who have not passed the state matriculation examination also have the right to enroll in the first cycle of studies.
