All undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students at the IEA can be members of the Macedonian Student Ethnological Society (MSES). MSES initiates and implements research projects, supports the students in the realization of their ideas, coordinates by the professors and assistants at the IEA.
In November 2003 in the frames of MSES, during the seminar "Cultural Management" in the village of Samokov (Makedonski Brod) the Ethnological Educational and Research Center - Rastesh (EERC - Rastesh) was formed. In 2004 it became an independent NGO, through which the students of undergraduate and postgraduate studies at IEA succeeded in implemented successful projects that refer to the possibilities of development of alternative tourism in the area of Poreche.
